Bodo is an industry insider with nearly 40 years of experience not only in precious metals, but also in technology metals and rare earth elements. He started his career with Degussa AG of Germany where he worked as Vice President Precious Metal Chemicals before transferring to the United States. There, he ran the company’s “Platinum Products” unit until the sale of the business in 2001, at which point he launched his consulting business, BASIQ Corporation. Since 2019, back in the corporate world, Bodo is now the Global Head of New Business Development at BASF headquartered in Iselin, NJ.

Bodo was on the board of the IPMI for more than a decade where he served as a member of the executive committee, president and chairman of the board. He is a speaker and writer on the topic of megatrends and the future of the technology metals industry.

Stewart is a Market Research Manager based at Johnson Matthey’s HQ in the UK and has been with the company for nearly 20 years in both autocatalyst development and market research roles. Johnson Matthey’s Market Research team consists of a global team of experts in the supply and demand of platinum group metals, responsible for both long and short-term forecasting of the PGM market. Focussed primarily on sectors of industrial metal demand, Stewart’s specialist areas include forecasting PGM demand from various global automotive markets, the electronics industry, autocatalyst and electronics recycling.

Dr. Jonathan Butler is Head of Business Development at Mitsubishi Corporation, specializing in the sourcing, sales and marketing of platinum group metals, silver and gold as well as leading Mitsubishi’s precious metals research and strategy. Jon has worked at Mitsubishi since 2013 and previously worked in various marketing and research roles at Johnson Matthey plc. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and Masters degrees from the University of Oxford, all in the area of earth sciences. He is a Board and Executive Member of the International Precious Metals Institute, a member of the Management Committee of the London Platinum and Palladium Market and is an active member of the London Bullion Market Association.

Mark Caffarey is the President Umicore USA. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Brussels University, 1983. He joined Umicore in 1984, where he served as Department Head Special Materials in Hoboken Belgium from 1990-1994 and received a Master in Business from the Flanders School of Business in 1992. Mark subsequently served as Umicore’s General Manager Cobalt Products from 1994-1998, President, Umicore Marketing Services USA in 1998, President Umicore Marketing Services USA from 1998-2016, Executive Vice-President, Umicore USA from 2008-2018, and President Umicore USA, from 2019-present. He also serves as North American Supply Manager Recyclables, 2015-present for Spent Automotive Catalyst, End of life Electronics, Rechargeable Batteries, Incinerated Bottom Ash, Precious Metal containing materials.

Mohammad Doostmohammadi is the founder and CEO of pH7 Technologies, leading the company’s strategic vision and business and technical activities.
As a serial entrepreneur with a passion for sustainability, Mohammad has been committed to exploring new technologies that make existing processes and systems more environmentally-friendly, as well as economically viable for wide-scale industry applications. He advocates the value of working collectively to make an impact, advancing solutions that can bring about positive outcomes today, and for future generations.

Mohammad brings with him a deep background in science and complex chemical processes, having spent over 15 years working on mineral extraction, mineral processing, metal extraction, and wastewater management. Prior to pH7 Technologies, he had managed the development of five different processing plants globally, overseeing the projects from ideation and R&D, all the way through to commercialization and launch.

Mohammad holds strong industry relationships built on shared values and goals, envisioning a future where the environmental footprint can be eliminated through the adoption of innovative chemical processes. James Gavilan is a global commodities executive with over 25 years of finance, risk
management, marketing, and mining and metals experience. Mr. Gavilan is principal and
advisor for Gavilan Commodities LLC, a company he founded in March 2019; which
provides business development and advisory services in marketing, financing, risk
management, supply chain management, ESG metrics capture and sustainable finance.
Mr. Gavilan developed his extensive finance, risk management and global relationships
during his tenure at four major commodity businesses. Over two decades, he held
increasingly senior roles at JPMorgan Chase, ICBC Standard Bank, BNP Paribas and
Deutsche Bank. At Deutsche Bank, he oversaw metals origination and sales, expanding
Deutsche Bank’s footprint into the physical metals supply chain. At BNP Paribas and
ICBC Standard Bank, Mr. Gavilan was responsible for key account multi-asset coverage,
providing precious, base metals and energy risk management services to producers,
central banks and consumers. During his formative years at JPMorgan Chase, he initially
served as a P/L analyst, and then spot trader and derivatives market maker; before
expanding into a Latin America marketing role covering base, precious and energy
markets.
From 2014 to 2019, Mr. Gavilan served as the SVP of market development at Republic
Metals Corporation; a former LBMA good delivery precious metals refinery. As an executive
committee member, he advised on strategic projects, risk management initiatives and
lender relations. Utilizing his extensive connections, Mr. Gavilan also oversaw the
expansion of Republic Metal’s global footprint. As head of RMC China, he focused primarily
on physical metal sales into Asia and raw materials procurement; leading Republic to
become the first North American refinery to achieve Shanghai Gold Exchange Good
Delivery status.

Mr. Gavilan was awarded an MBA in finance and investments from Baruch College
Zicklin School of Business. As an undergraduate, he studied at Fordham College at
Lincoln Center receiving cum laude honors for a BA in Psychology. James is fluent in
Spanish and enjoys motorcycling, snowboarding, and creative writing.

As Chief Technical Officer for the LBMA, Neil’s responsibilities include acting as the Executive’s main contact for the Good Delivery system for GD Refiners, applicants and LBMA Committees. His duties include managing the LBMA Good Delivery accreditation system, including applications, Pro-Active Monitoring, Proficiency Testing and other GD related projects. The role also involves overseeing the work of the GDL Officer in the administration of the Good Delivery system as well as managing the implementation by gold Good Delivery refiners of the LBMA’s Responsible Gold Guidance and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Good Delivery work carried out by the LBMA.

He brings to the role a wealth of experience having previously been Head of Evaluation at the Rand Refinery in South Africa. He represented the Rand Refinery at the LBMA as the only Referee in the Southern Hemisphere. As one of only five Referees appointed by the LBMA to oversee the maintenance of the LBMA’s Good Delivery List, he has been involved in many initiatives to ensure and develop the integrity of the gold industry. He contributed to the steering committee which produced the “Conflict-Free” Gold Standard of the World Gold Council as well as the development of the LBMA’s Responsible Gold Guidance and presented the Rand Refinery “Artisanal gold” Model at the OECD in Paris. He was a Board Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council representing the Gold and/or Platinum Metals, Refiners and/or Hedgers Forum as well as sitting on the Membership Committee. His work experience included nine years in the Platinum Industry and held the position as a member of the South African Organising Committee of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Malcolm heads the US business of Novisto, a leading ESG data management platform. He is also is a senior advisor for RS Metrics, a leading provider of Geospatial ESG data. Prior to Novisto, he led Chevron’s global carbon markets outlook, as well as numerous other strategic efforts in climate strategy and ESG. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a US Army veteran.

David is the Senior Vice President for Trading and Sales at Heraeus Precious Metals New York LLC. He is responsible for funding and price risk management of precious metals to Heraeus sites in the Americas. The trading team offers the same physical metal service to external customers principally from the industrial sector. David joined Heraeus in September 2014. Prior to joining Heraeus, David commenced his career in 1980 working exclusively on precious metals trading desks with experience in both trading and sales at financial institutions ranging from AIG to Commerzbank. David graduated with an honors degree in Economics from the University of Kent at Canterbury.

Steven Izatt has over 20 years experience in the development and management of high technology businesses in the separations, chemical, metallurgical and engineering industries. As President of IBC, he has worked extensively in supplying Molecular Recognition Technology separation systems to major corporations worldwide that use and refine precious metals. He holds two Ms degrees from MIT, one in Chemical Engineering Practice and the other in Technology and Policy and received his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He is the 2008 Recipient of the IPMI Jun-ichiro Tanaka Distinguished Achievement Award.

Currently Refining Global Commercial Director at Johnson Matthey, Ruth Leland is responsible globally for Refining within the Platinum Group Metals and Services part of the business. A core element of the role involves understanding the full metal flow from product supply to product recycling, and with a greater drive towards sustainability, the value proposition is becoming more about the full circularity package than any single part of the offer. She also has responsibility for the European Customer Services Teams across both the Refining and Products businesses.
Prior to joining Johnson Matthey five years ago, Ruth held the role of Refrigerants Business Manager at BOC, where she worked for 13 years holding a range of strategic roles in sales and customer management. An advocate for gender diversity in the precious metals industry, Ruth has been a member of the Women in PGM Network since its inception in 2019.

Bradley Lusk, PhD is the CEO of Precient Technologies and has successfully started five companies. He has a PhD in Biological Design and specializes in environmental biotechnology research and development. Dr. Lusk has spent nearly 15 years developing and promoting biotechnologies for water treatment and resource capture and has presented at professional conferences in over 30 countries. Previously, Brad worked as a research scientist with the Naval Research Laboratory and has served as an environmental adviser for water based development projects with USAID and the US State Department.

Bart has some twenty years' experience analyzing global precious metals, base metals, energy, and financial markets, as well as North American and global economies. He has worked closely with commodity, equity and FX trading desks in Toronto, New York, Chicago, London and Singapore, and has several forecasting distinctions and top global rankings to his credit.
Bart contributes to the TD Securities strategic view by providing commentary on commodity and various other financial markets and how they relate to the sectoral and macroeconomic outlook. Bart is also a sought after media source for many leading print publications and business television programs including Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, BNN, The Globe and Mail, The Financial Post, AFP, BBC, The Wall Street Journal and Barron's. His forecasts are also part of the global consensus. Previous to joining TD, Bart was a Global Commodity Strategist and Sr. Economist at another major global bank. He was also a Senior Economist and Senior Analyst in Treasury and Risk Management/Senior Credit Committee at another major North American financial institution.
Bart holds a master's degree in economics from York University in Toronto, with a Specialization Certificate in International Finance/Banking.

John is Director of Market Relations and Climate Change Lead at the World Gold Council (WGC), leading its climate change research programme and associated engagement with investors, policy makers and stakeholder organisations.

Additionally, he contributes to the organisation’s wider insight and communications outputs to improve understanding of the whole gold supply chain, and the integration of ESG considerations into strategic market and investment perspectives.

John writes extensively and comments regularly on wider gold market dynamics, investment strategies, and responsible and sustainable business practices. He also engages and collaborates with a range of industry organisations and stakeholder groups, including the OECD, the ICMM (International Council on Mining and Metals), and CIBJO (World Jewellery Confederation), where he now serves as President of its Sustainable Development Commission.

John joined the WGC in early 2005. Prior to that, he held a number of senior roles focused on business strategy, product development, trading systems and market analysis. He has degrees from the University of Sussex and Birkbeck College, University of London.

Philip is a founding partner of Metals Focus, with 29 years’ experience. Prior to this Philip was Research Director at GFMS, where he was a key contributor and project manager of the silver, gold and PGM surveys, research reports and consultancy projects.

Mr. Padrono Martini, a native of Padua, Italy, joined IKOI in 2013. Previously, he was the Sales Director for several international companies in the welding and electrical cable industries. He is a graduate of the University of Padua, holding a degree in Statistical Economics.

Rohit Savant has been with CPM Group since 2005 and is the lead author of CPM Group’s precious metals research. He has been a top quartile forecaster for the London Bullion Market Association’s (LBMA’s) 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018 Precious Metals Forecast Survey and was the winner of the LBMA’s 2011 Precious Metals Forecast Survey, for platinum and palladium.

Mr. Savant generates trade recommendations for clients using fundamental and technical market analysis and works with the firm’s commodity price risk management team to formulate solutions for clients using option strategies. Mr. Savant presents views on precious metals to boards of mining companies, institutional investors, and at conferences and is also involved in advising clients about commodity market fundamentals and price direction.

Mr. Savant has contributed articles to various publications and has been extensively quoted by the financial press.

Mr. Savant has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, which is recognized globally as the highest standard of educational achievement in the alternative investment field.

Steve Scacalossi is Executive Director, Commodity Sales at CIBC Capital Markets in New York. He has 30 years’ experience in the precious metals market having started at Credit Suisse in 1993. Steve has held senior Head of Sales positions at Scotiabank and Mitsui & Co. Precious Metals, and was a founding member TD Bank’s metals business. Steve is a Board Member of the IPMI and serves on its Audit Committee.

Scott B. Schwartz is the Executive Vice President & General Counsel of FideliTrade Incorporated, a full-service precious metals bullion company that provides wholesale, retail, safekeeping and logistics, and non-consumer financing services through the company and its affiliates. Scott is the Governance & Compliance Officer of IPMI and serves on IPMI's Executive Committee of its Board of Directors. He is an attorney admitted to the New York and Arizona Bar, and the Federal Courts for the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York. Scott is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/US and earned the CompTIA Security+ cybersecurity certifications.

Chief Operating Officer. Responsible Gold Supply Chain. Nirali is the Chief Operating Officer of Responsible Gold Supply Chain LLC (RGSC). Nirali has 20 years’ international experience in designing and delivering sustainable solutions for multinational organizations, having spent most of her career in professional practice. Since 2012, Nirali has specialized in responsible sourcing of precious metals and worked with several LBMA Good Delivery Refineries in Canada, the CIS, China, Europe, and South Africa. She established Deloitte’s global LBMA Responsible Sourcing services practice, developing technical resources, and providing local member firms with both on the ground training and remote support. Nirali is now involved in developing technology-based solutions for the precious metals sector and oversees the blockchain-based traceability solution to produce Responsible Gold with full provenance records and ESG credentials at RGSC.

Grant is the Global head of the Sibanye-Stillwater’s recycling operations. Sibanye-Stillwater own and operate the Columbus Metallurgical Complex, a smelting facility and base metal refinery situated between the Stillwater mine and the town of Billings, Montana. It is one of the world’s largest producers of PGMs recycled from spent automotive catalytic converters. Prior to his recycling role, Grant was focused on Sibanye-Stillwater’s sustainability agenda through his role as Senior Vice President Environment. This role followed as a logical extension from his role as the Vice President for the West Rand Tailings Retreatment Project (WRTRP), ap project involving the recycling of the vast quantity of tailings material scattered over the West Rand in Johannesburg South Africa, for the economic extraction of gold and uranium. In 2007 Grant was the lead on the Uranium Project from tailings for Harmony Gold. In this role within Harmony he lead the creation of Rand Uranium and subsequently joined the company as the Corporate Development Executive. Gold One acquired Rand Uranium in 2011 and Grant joined Gold One as the head of Investor Relations. In addition to the role Grant managed the Joint Venture that was established between Gold Fields and Gold One to exploit the vast on surface tailings resources (WRTRP). Grant joined Sibanye-Stillwater following the acquisition of Rand Uranium by Sibanye from Gold One in 2013. Prior to joining Harmony, Grant was a Senior Manager within the strategy and innovation practice at Deloitte. His management consulting spanned 10 years over a wide range of industries. Grant has a BSc Chemistry and Chemical Sciences and a Post Graduate in Business Administration from Wits Business School in South Africa.

Wilma heads all platinum group metals research at Metals Focus. She has 12 years’ experience in the PGM mining industry focused on metal sales and marketing from her time at Lonmin, where she was Head of Commercial Services. She served as non-executive director on the boards of the Platinum Jewellery Development Association, World Platinum Investment Council and Furuya Metals . She also served as chairperson of The Platinum Incubator from 2016-2019 and is the current Chairperson of Women in PGMs. Wilma holds a MSc in International Business Administration from the University of London.

As Head of Supply Recyclables at Umicore Precious Metals Refining, Thierry Van Kerckhoven is
responsible for the supply of recycling products such as electronic scrap, spent automotive
catalysts and various precious metal bearing materials such as materials ex-incineration ash pre-
processing.
Before joining Umicore in May 1999, Mr. Van Kerckhoven worked as Account Manager for DJE
bvba and Storck bvba. He holds Master-degrees in Economics – International Relationships
(Antwerp Business School, now part of KU Leuven University) and Transport Economics
(Antwerp University).

Randy is currently the Division Vice President-KYC Manager and AML Compliance
Coordinator for the precious metals division of Mitsubishi International Corporation (MIC) based
in New York. Having started his career with MIC, as a division Vice President of Marketing &
Trading. Randy’s career in precious metals spans 25 years and prior to joining MIC in 2014 he
has held senior roles in credit, marketing, sales and trading in the brokerage, U.S. and
international banking sectors, focusing on precious metals and other commodities. He holds an
MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson Univrersity and a B.S. from Montclair State College. He serves on
the board of directors of the NY Chapter of IPMI and is the Co -chair of the Security and Anti
Money Laundering Committee of IPMI.
